               The hydrology, topography, and soil are key elements that form the
          natural ecosystems. Settlement patterns, resource uses, and transportation
          infrastructure  are  based  on  natural  characteristics  and  align  with  them,
          reflecting the "river culture". Initially, the region's natural conditions were
          not  favorable  for  development.  Over  time,  a  combination  of  indigenous
          knowledge and scientific advancements has transformed this challenging area
          into one that has achieved notable agricultural success, contributing to the
          country's socio-economic progress. However, due to the combined effects of
          natural  forces  and  socio-economic  development,  the  region's  natural
          conditions and ecosystems have been undergoing significant changes, calling
          how inhabitants’ behaviour harmonizes with the natural environment in terms
          of population distribution, infrastructure development, and natural resource
          management in the future.
