Overall objective
Specific objectives |
|
The purpose of this research collaboration agreement is for the Research Institute for Climate Change of Can Tho University (Dragon Institute) to work with ISET to identify and conduct a study to assess flood resilience of two communities vulnerable flooding in Can Tho City, using the Flood Resilience Measurement for Communities (FRMC) tool, and support the identification and implementation of small-scale interventions for improving flood resilience in the targeted communities. |
|
Contents |
In Can Tho, the FRMC toolbox is being used. The evaluation will be carried out in stages: - Basic assessment (T0) - clearly identifying limitations in disaster response and some solutions to improve resilience in 02 selected communities; - Implement a small-scale solution to improve flood resilience in 02 communities; - Post-flood assessment when major floods occur in 02 selected communities; - End-of-term assessment - identifying changes in flood resilience in 02 communities and factors affecting those changes. |
Expected outcome |
Summarize experiences, organize exchange events, share experiences and information at regional and national levels, and advocate for policy based on the above evaluation results. |
