Assessment of the current situation of the Mekong Delta rice value chain by market segment of rice quality in the context of adjustment policies towards more export liberty and deeper international economic integration. |
+ Analysis of the current situation and forecast of rice supply and demand for domestic and export markets according to 4 market segments of rice quality. + Analysis of chain economic, limitations and challenges of the rice value chain in terms of technical, economic, social and environmental aspects. + Proposing solutions to upgrade the chain effectively and towards sustainable development for the period of 2021 – 2025. |

+ Conducting the surveys, field observations and interviews with direct and indirect actors including agencies that decide on policies and support the development of rice value chains in key rice producing provinces (An Giang, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Soc Trang, Hau Giang and Kien Giang). + Analyzing and assessing the various aspects of the value chain, forecasting and proposing solutions to upgrade the chain, focusing on production organization and product standardization, the participation of the community and young people and rural women. |
