Four activities were conducted during the project. Firstly, 7-day Training of trainers (ToT) was held in Can Tho city in February 2021 to train young researcher, who are from variety of colleges of Can Tho university, about the vulnerability assessment tool. Because the reserve zone and local livelihoods are subject to various aspects such as land use change, income, environmental quality, climate change, etc so the assessment team should have background knowledge that cover all essential facets to the zone and livelihood. Around five researchers were selected, in which 02 from Environment and Natural Resources college, 01 from The Delta Research and Global Observation Network in Mekong Institute (DRAGON), 01 from environmental economy and 01 from Mekong Development Institute. Besides, two staffs from LNH will be invited for the training so that they can understand and support well in the field as well as they can consult for the management board of LNH in use the assessment result. Secondly, the assessment team had around one month to conduct assessment in four communes, having close connection with LNH including Phuong Phu, Hiep Hung, Long Tri and Phuong Binh. Thirdly, 1-day validation workshop will be organized to present the assessment result to decision maker (at level of commune, district and provincial) and LNH management board. The comments from participants will help the team to finalize the result, which will be more proximity to the needs of the society. Finally, the team will work on the final report. Several internal meetings will be happened to discuss about the report. During this phase, consultation with experts will be applied few times to ensure the scientific of the report.
