Promoting high technology application in agriculture – A movement for economic development in the Mekong Delta

ABSTRACT
The Mekong Delta (Northern Delta) - "The Southernmost Region - The Citadel of the Fatherland" holds a very important position in politics, economy, society, security, and defense and trade with ASEAN countries. The Mekong sub-region is, at the same time, the largest granary and center of seafood and fruit production in the country, playing an important role in ensuring national food security and export. For many years now, provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta have focused on developing agriculture and rural areas in the direction of "ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers" based on high technology applications in the cultivation and production process has created many products of high economic value, contributing to improving people's lives. Through the implementation of the application of technology in agricultural production, many new models, and good practices have been popularized and replicated in many localities. Therefore, in the coming time, the whole region needs to deploy more solutions that are more integrated in practice.
